There’s something about Christmas that just feels magical, isn’t there? The twinkly lights, the smell of spices in the air, the little traditions you have that make the season feel so special. And in the middle of all that cosy chaos, there’s nothing better than pressing pause for a moment and capturing your family just as you are right now. That’s exactly what my outdoor Christmas photoshoots in Gloucester are all about.

Every year, I hold my Christmas photoshoots at a gorgeous Christmas tree farm in Gloucestershire. With rows of the perfect trees, and the scent of pine in the air, it’s the kind of place that already feels like the holiday season. Think of these session as a little festive adventure for your family, and the result is photos that feel relaxed, joyful, and genuinely full of Christmas spirit.

There’s plenty of space for little ones to explore, which makes these sessions perfect for kids who’d rather run, play, and climb on a sledge than sit still in front of a backdrop. I’ll guide things gently, but most of the magic comes from those candid moments — giggles between the trees, bear hugs, and the way your family naturally comes together when you’re having fun.

Of course, we’ll also make time for that photo — the one for the Christmas cards, the grandparents’ mantelpiece, or the family WhatsApp group. But the best part is that you’ll end up with so much more than just the “posed” shot. These galleries are full of real, joy-filled memories you’ll treasure long after the tree comes down.

Each Christmas mini session lasts around 20 minutes (just right to keep everyone happy and engaged), and you’ll receive 5 beautifully edited images afterwards. The cost is £150.

To add a little extra festive sparkle, I bring along a couple of simple, cosy setups — usually including a sweet wooden sledge — but the real magic comes from the tree farm itself.
